Weekly comic series created with Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk Sketchbook.
The JGP Studios logo is shaped like a comic book word balloon for two reasons. The first, and most obvious, is because of my love of both reading and creating comics. The second reason is that art, especially commercial art and graphic design, is intended to be used for communication, which the word balloon is intended to symbolize. The “JGP” in JGP Studios are my initials. The “G” is given special emphasis in the logo because I am among the 4% of Americans that goes by their middle name.
It is only intended to be in black and white, either white with black lines as it was originally created, or inverted with a black balloon and white lines depending on the art the logo is attached to.
The “JGP” lettering is hand drawn. The “studio” is Badaboom and the web site URL is in Adam Warren Pro, both of which were found on www.dafont.com. Neither the “JGP” nor “studio” are to be removed from the logo. The website URL must be removed from the logo if the document the logo is attached to also contains the same URL, in order to avoid redundancy. If the URL is not present anywhere on the document, it must be included on the logo.
There are no specific size or space requirements for the logo. The whole logo must be visible, and can take up no more than 5% of whatever document it is on, with the sole exception of the official JGP Studio business card.

Design Goal: Create a fictional coffee company and construct a brand around it, including logo, packaging, and stationery.
The Company: Office Hero was founded in 1998 by the Thompson brothers, Brian and Reggie. They started brewing their own coffee at the newspaper office where they worked as typesetters. Word spread of the quality of their coffee to the other offices in the building, and they realized brewing coffee is much more fulfilling than typography. They were inspired to name it “Office Hero” by the horror stories they heard from people from other offices that came for their coffee, of dumb interns that burn it, et cetera.
Design Goal: Take a poorly made pre-existing logo, remake it, and create an advertising campaign focused on it.
The decision was made to move from pixel-based art to vector-based, in order to give it more versatility. the end result has a stamp-like quality that is utilized in the hypothetical advertisement, as well as the simulated billboard.
